Another fun and engaging Science club activity this week at Aveley Primary School. OPA Science teacher Miss Chan, and Science technician Patsy Martin, were supported by some of our wonderful Science Ambassadors. Lots of fun was had by all and students learned how thermal energy can cause pressure changes in a container.
Students at OPA are completing some work around finding information about the best playing surfaces for sports in our community. The students hope to use this data to inform us whether we can make an application for a new surface to be installed at OPA for use by all members of our community at the evenings and weekends, helping sporting activities and clubs to grow in Thurrock. The survey will be open for the next two weeks, closing on Wednesday 27th March. We look forward to getting your responses. Many thanks, Survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LR9ZPD7

This week we were making ice cream from milkshake using only ice, salt and science! Thank you to our year 7 students who supported the session and Patsy Martin, one of our science technicians, for sorting all the materials needed.

Students have the chance to ask them anything to do with their current research and the importance of their research for today and the future, their experiences in school, college, university and work, or simply their hobbies and interests. At the end of the chat, students will vote [...]
