A contained incident took place at the Academy yesterday, in which immediate action was taken and all the relevant authorities were informed. The safety and security of all our students and staff is our number one priority, the Academy is treating this with the utmost seriousness. Students are safe to attend the Academy today, and a fuller statement will be released shortly. As we work towards preparing for the start of the next year, the Governors have now agreed the date of the Academy’s final INSET day. This is to be: Monday 9th July 2018 Students will NOT be required to attend the Academy on this day. Governors have also agreed all five INSET days for the 2018/19 academic year and these are: Tuesday 4th September 2018 Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th January 2019 Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th July 2019 Read full letter here

Dear Parents/Carers Thank you for your responses to our consultation about the October half term. The Governors have decided to once again run a two week half term in the 2018/19 academic year. They have not agreed yet that this will be a permanent feature of the academic year and will monitor the situation in light of the local and national context regarding this matter. If your student doesn't have sufficient funds at food break 1 we will allow them to go into minus. Once ParentPay have resolved the issue you will be able to top up and clear this.
