Dear Parent/Carer Further to my letter to Thurrock Council below, I would like to encourage all to inform the Council of their concerns and questions via the dedicated email address: [email protected] I feel I must clarify strongly that the decisions currently being made around transport are NOT the decisions of the Academy, and we too have raised our concerns and questions over this matter. I can assure you we will be working on this matter with the Council with the aim of securing the best possible transport arrangements for our students.
As we approach the end of the academic year, we warmly invite you to attend the Year 7 Progress Evening to discuss your child/dependent’s progress as they approach the start of their Year 8 studies. During this evening you will have the opportunity to meet with your child/dependent’s teachers to review the progress they have made since starting OPA and to set targets to help them reach their aspirations for the year ahead. FAO Females - Please conform to the Academy Policy for Nails. For Health and Safety reasons NO FALSE, GEL OR ACRYLIC NAILS are permitted, any student who does not abide by this policy will be placed in the Think Tank until the issue has been resolved. Thank you

A letter confirming the number of places you have for attending the event at Palmers College, Grays will be sent home with your son/daughter at the start of next week. Revision runs from 10am – 1pm in the Science area. Pizza is provided at the end of the session. It’s Physics Paper 1 revision this Saturday in preparation for the Paper 1 Physics exam on Wednesday 23rd May. Students can sign up for revision during registration with Mrs Thacker.

We are pleased to advise you that Ormiston Park Academy is holding an exciting event exclusively for some of our Year 9 and 10 girls and their parents/carers on the evening of Thursday 26th April 2018. Royal Society of Arts works with Ormiston Park Academy in Pupil Design Awards competition The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has been working with Ormiston Park Academy (OPA) in Aveley to provide professional design workshops ahead of the RSA’s nationwide Pupil Design Awards competition.
