About Ormiston Park Academy
Ormiston Park Academy is an 11-19 co-educational school of approximately 550 students, with approximately 50 in the sixth form. The academy occupies a brand new building on the edge of an historic garden within Thurrock. The academy building has capacity for 1100 (including 200 in the sixth form) and local demographics indicate a steep rise in the number of students over the next two to five years.
The facilities are in all respects outstanding, and designed around a flexible pedagogy of teaching and learning that focuses on maximising individual achievement. The opportunities therefore for creativity and innovation in ones’ practice are abundant. The site is ICT rich, has fabulous sporting facilities and has been built to encourage extended use within the community.
The academy is proud of the outstanding care and support that it offers its students and similarly the high levels of achievement that are secured for them. We, however, are not complacent and there is much work to be done. There is a need to continually strive to raise standards of attainment by providing the highest quality of teaching and learning. This is the current focus of our highly committed and enthusiastic team of teachers.
The academy is part of the growing family of Ormiston secondary academies, with the Trust supportive and excited about the future of Ormiston Park.
