ParentPay online payments for schools is a web service that lets parents make secure online payments by credit and debit card to schools and to school suppliers.
The online payment system gives you a more convenient and flexible way to pay Ormiston Park Academy online and helps to keep your child safe. By making cashless payments you know that your money has reached the Academy safely. You can view your account statement and payment history, check when payments need to be made and set alerts to tell you when to pay the Academy online.
To make sure you are ready for the day please make sure that you have completed the following…
- You have used the username and password given to you to credit your account.
- You have clicked the blue button to pay for your child’s meals.
- You have discussed with your child their daily food needs and they are clear about how much they can spend each day (there is a copy of the kitchen tariff here to help you).
- You have watched the video below.
We have had a few queries about Free School Meals. If your child receives a free school meal they will continue to do so to the sum of £2.60. Your account will be credited with this amount each day. However, you will have to credit your account with any spending beyond this. So if your child has a breakfast or buys a drink during the day you will need to provide funding for this. Free school meal money is debited first by the system. This means that if your child uses his or her card before lunch they will not have enough credit to pay for lunch if you have not added additional funds.
If you cannot or do not want to credit your account online, we can arrange for you to be sent a PayPoint card so you can credit your account at a local shop. If you would like us to order you a PayPoint card please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Your account will be charged £2 for this service.
If you have any queries or questions at all please do not hesitate to email email@example.com.
The following introductory letter was sent to parents on the 30th March…
In an attempt to remove all cash and cheques from school we are asking all parents to only use our e-payment method to pay for dinner money. Parent Pay will be introduced in two stages. Years 7 and 10 will begin to use their cards buy food at the canteen on Friday 21st April. Years 8 and 9 will begin on Monday 8th May. You will need to ensure that you have paid money into your accounts by these dates. This can be done online using a very secure website called ParentPay or in cash at local stores where you see the PayPoint logo.
The Ormiston Park Academy Parent Pay account will be live for deposits on Wednesday 5th April and you can visit www.parentpay.com and activate your account via the Account login area on the home page of the site after this date.
Username: XXXXXXX Password: XXXXXXX
ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date. Once you have activated your account after Wednesday 5th April you can make online payments straight away.
